forgot to say why:

Because that's the kind of destination that I'm unlikely to plan using Fodor's boards!

Hmm...fun question. I feel a little guilty but not choosing DH for this one.

I would love to sail the Greek Islands with my very dear friend & old flame of college days.

(He's one sexy Romano, but the timing was not good back then.)

Impossible! Way too many places (most of which I still hope to see) to choose. How about an Around the World ticket, with stops anywhere I want?

Of course I would take Phil Flash with me, the most amusing man I know.

Hmm...I agree, there are way too many places I want to go, but there are three destinations at the top of my list now:

New Zealand
Iceland
Machu Picchu

in that order. With my DH, of course.

This is so enjoyable! I love all of the ideas and where everyone wishes to go. (If I were that Genie, those wishes would all be granted!)

LoveItaly, sorry I made you Think. I have had to do that lately myself and it is very tiresome ~
Rex, I love the idea of you as valet to Ben
sally, Kyoto for sure!
kavey- Yes! I can picture you, along with P ,off to conquer space
cambe - Brilliant !
Budman, I have trouble sleeping every night..last night was no different except that while Thinking(I was doing that all day!) of our upcoming trip to Portland, I was wishing that I could really take a Beeeg trip and that led to where and so on and .....
marilyn, sounds right to me, anywhere in the world could be everywhere in the world~

And Where would Degas wish to go and with whom?
We all know what he would wear LOL

This is such a hard question because there are so many places I want to go!!!I think I will be daring and pick China. I think that would be an interesting and unique place. I will most likely make it back to Europe one of these days, but China?? I would take hubby with me and lots of snacks. I am wary of the different foods. I might actually lose weight going there. I will get an exotic trip and drop pounds too !!

I'd fly Upper Crust Class to Paris.

And as much as I'd love to cozy up to a super hottie in a tight red dress, my Southern upbringing would require me to take dear old mom THIS time.

Timing is everything in life!

Well...
Once upon a time I was strolling along Limintour Beach at Pt.Reyes (Marin County, CA )and noticed what appeared to be a shoe just out of reach of the tide. Closer inspection revealed I had found a camera, case and all. Not two seconds earlier one of my companions had said, "Why didn't we bring a camera ?"

So,wishes DO come true !

At the moment I woulld be off to Cairns
to a yacht for a week, or so, of live aboard diving along the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea. Mr.R5 as my companion, of course.

Great question, Scarlett !

When I first answered this thread I thought I was limited to travel on earth. But Kavey's post reminded me that space travel is possible, therefore I would like to revise my answer:

I would like to go for a ride on the space shuttle. I have always thought that would be the coolest trip ever. I could see the entire world in just a short time. My choice for a traveling companion would be anyone who can safely fly a space shuttle.

Scarlett, I see nobody has chosen Hell. Did you not enjoy your visit there? I have only been there once and didn't care for it at all. I am speaking, of course, of my first marriage.... >

Yes, darlin, we planned an excellent trip to Hell but then we spent some time in Florida during Hurricane season, which sort of left me with a taste for less Hellish destinations.
We are now planning to move to Portland Oregon, where we will only have to cope with drearies now and then and learn to pronounce the names of streets and the State.
I hear the view from the Space Shuttle is Out Of This World!!

Definitely South Africa! I keep saying I'll visit Mischka, but the airfare there from Hawaii is outrageous and I'd need 130,000 FF miles to get there.

I'd probably take my sister Burta, with the assumption her husband would be willing to pay his own way. He'd enjoy the wineries, I'm sure!

My husband and I once placed a bottle with a note inside at the edge of the water on a beach on Cape Cod, MA. Our mothers were walking a short distance behind us. They spotted the bottle with the note bobbing in the water - just in time as it was about to be take out to sea - and excitedly called for us to come back to get it and open it. We did and they were so surprised when they realized the note was to them and that it said that we were taking them on a trip to Italy!

To answer this question, my husband and I would probably go to Egypt, cruise the Nile, visit Cairo, Alexandria, see all the amazing things and ride a camel.

Happy travel wishes to you, Scarlett, and everyone!
