YIKES! New Header. Gag me!

When did Fodors decide to enter the auto repair business?

The site is top heavy. Much too much junk on the page. I realize they rely on advertising, but it really detracts from the look of the site and the ease of reading it. Fodors should spend a little time figuring out the glitches on the forum.

This is GROSS. I was actually getting to like the bright green one -- but this is just ugly.

YUCK! As I said on another post, it looks like warning/hazard colors on a construction site.

OK, readers, it's the fault of those who complained about that cobalt blue and lime green one we had for a couple of months. I liked that from the start, (especially since it matches my living room), but there were lots of complaints. Now I guess this orange and gold monstrosity is our punishment for complaining.

Why can't they do something in Prada green, or get someone like Hedi Slimane to do the designs?

...ain't it purdy?!?

Perhaps it's just a "temporary installation" paying homage to The Gates project being unfurled in Central Park this morning...

either that or an early April Fools joke.

Good grief, let me get my sunglasses! The glare of that bright orange/yellow is giving me a headache. Could we please have a soft background that supports the ability to read the page content rather than overwhelming it? I know absolutely nothing about web page design, but it seems to me that format shouldn't get in the way of content. Yikes, folks!

Just discovered that if I position my cursor really carefully on the edge of the page, I can slide the glaring header up and off the page, making it so much more comfortable to read. This also slides the ads up, up and away!

Betsy, I'm not following you. I can't seem to slide that header away no matter what I try.

Fans of the sports teams of the universities of Tennessee and Texas probably like the new colors.

Patrick, it's not easy. The skill requires manual dexterity and patience, but the reward is worth it. Position your cursor on that very, very narrow frame on the outmost edge at the side of the page, and slowly slide the page up. It may take a couple of tries, but don't give up.

What I miss is the old Fodor's symbol of the flying Fodors Guy. Remember the elite few (of which I am lucky to be one) that received the Fodor's pin years back. I still wear my pin proudly when I travel, always on the look out for another Fodorite. Wasn't Rex the initial creator of the pin?...Bring the flying Fodor man back!!!!!!!! He represents Fodors and travel..it was their symbol.

Betsy, I got mine to move to the left to hide the Fodor's black & white sign.

What Fodors may not realize (or maybe they do) is that the bright colors make it quite easy for a supervisor to see from across a very large room what website you're on.
