Are you getting a $189 + 306 taxes fare from ORD-LHR and ORD-MAN? If so, that sounds really good in total.

Hi P,

Is that $495 ORD/LHR via Manchester?

Round Trip?

That's very good.

Why do you care what the taxes are?

Hello, this is for February travel. I usually fly at that time for 189.00 to 250 before taxes. This is the first time the taxes came out to 306.00.

The taxes shown on the BMI website do seem to be higher than for similar flights on other carriers. Depending on your dates, you should be able to fly ORD-LHR nonstop for a bit less in February on AA, UA, or BA.

Since you pay taxes/fees for every airport you use, the extra is probably because you are paying for ORD, MAN and LHR. If going non-stop the fees would be less.

If you're not happy with BMI's price, keep shopping and use another airline.
