Yahoo, I'm Leaving for France tomorrow!!

Well, after months of planning, I'm finally packed and ready to go. As usual, I have butterflies and total brain overload, but I'm also very excited.

I've condensed hundreds of Fodor's print-outs and have put them into 3-hole folders, one for Paris, one for Lyon/Avignon and one for Nice.

I want to thank everyone for all the valuable information and advice you have given me. You have also given me the confidence/courage to do this trip solo. I am armed with the knowledge that I can do this and handle whatever comes along. Maybe even turn a missed train, or getting on the wrong bus, into an adventure.

I'm looking forward to meeting fellow Fodorite,Jennie and her Mom in Paris. I plan on doing lots of sketching and taking tons of photos and I promise to post a trip report when I return.

Again, many thanks to you all ... Barb

Have a great time, Barb! I was in Paris last October and, alas, I won't be able to repeat that visit this year

Eat some macaroons from Laduree, drink a kir frambous at a sidewalk table in the Marais and stroll the Seine at dusk for me, will you??

Happy for you Barb, you will have a great time. Adventures will come unexpectly. Your special moments will be the unplanned ones. One of the perks of solo travel.
