Would two days in Venice, two days in Florence and two days in Rome be sufficient?

As many have said, 6 days isn't much, 6 days is enough. If those are the rules live with it.

Florence is for art lovers. Aside from that it's very small and can be walked in a day and a half. Pick either David or Uffizi and walk around the rest of the time. Therefore leave (going in either direction) late afternoon of your 2nd day.

Venice also isn't that big. A day trip misses the best part; St Mark's in the evening. You can walk around for day and a half and get a good feel for it.

We walked most of Rome each day we were there. We always seemed to end up near the Spanish Steps. If you strictly limit Museums (get to the Vatican Museum before it opens) you can have a great time in 2 days. Make sure you stay in the middle of things. In the Spanish Steps, Piaza Navona, Trevi triangle.

Have a great trip.

Pick two of the trio. I'd suggest a Rome-Venice combo, with a flight into Rome and departure out of Venice.

As previous posters have accurately described each of the cities I don't have any more to add. I adore Rome. As for Venice? I'm not as passionate about it (ok, maybe it's time for a second visit to Venezia) --- it's unique and I do agree it's a place that should be on everyone's short list to see.
