WoinParis's 'coup de coeur' 2017 hotel Paris
I went yestreday to L'Edmond hotel, rue Villiers, close to Villiers metro (on 2 and 3) in the 17th.
Great location (but I hardly ever find a bad location in Paris), very hadny to have 2 metrolines crossing.
So what made this hotel great ?
I had the biggest terrace I have ever seen in Paris - about 25 m2 min, wooden covered. View on internal - so no view on ET or whatever but super calm.
The room was big neough by Paris standards, the staff super friendly, the bed super confortable.
The shower was great. Deco was quite ok.
And for US tourists : there was a coffiemaker, a small dishwasher (!), a fridge and I didn't open all the cupboards. Of course A/C.
4 stars, well deserved for once (4 stars come in 2 categories, the ones which should have stayed in the 3* category - the large majority - and the others)
Price ? I got a great discount on booking.com or Hotels.com but you can call them direct of course..
Lovely.

Just impossible without AC in Paris. Esp in april.
Oh I had 2 large windows and the sliding door for the terrace. Plenty of air. Cannot imagine needing AC there even in a heatwave.

good review, that is very unusual to have a terrace that gives onto an interior space, at least in Paris. But if it's a big enough courtyard, that sounds nice. Their website claims the room is 20 m2, which is decent size, assuming it was the classic terrace room.
AC isn't really a rarity in Paris anymore, all 4* hotels have it, and most 3*, even a few 2*. 3* hotels in Paris didn't used to have it commonly a couple decades ago, but it seems now they do, in my experience. I don't know of any 4* hotel in Paris that doesn't have AC, as it is required by the official classification system at 4* or higher level.
