Wine in Cotes du Rhone and the sights. Possible?

hi everyone, i have just three days in provence. my boyfriend is very interested in wines, loves to learn about wine, go to tastings etc... i think we would both love to do a day-long driving tour of the cotes du rhones area. however, we would also love to see some of the historical sights and take in a market day if possible.

i am thinking we pick up the car in avignon at the tgv train station and drive directly to arles for some lunch and a look at the arena. then, drive to st. remy or les baux for the night.

in the morning, we will can see the market at st. remy and then les baux in the afternoon. late afternoon, we drive to vaison la romaine and spend the night.

the next day, we drive the cotes du rhone wine route and spend another night in vaison la romaine.

last morning, we drive to the pont du gard early. then head to the train station, drop off the car, and return to paris.

too much?

Sounds entirely feasible, downright relaxed compared to many other plans posted here !

Enjoy.

That plan would work.

Reserve ahead at Beaucastle. We just showed up on a Tuesday in very early July, and all the English tours were "sold out" for the entire week. We returned in Sept & it was a thorough & excellent tour.
