Kondrah, we will also be in Provence and Bourgogne this June/July and I have been researching wineries and wine tours. Below are links to two of my threads on this topic which may give you some information.

In Provence we will be visiting Chateauneuf-du-Pape, including a visit to the Beaucastel winery plus some tastings in the town itself. An appointment is required for the former, the latter is just walk-in. Gigondas, Vacqueras and Beaumes de Venise are known for their wines, also Ventoux and some in Luberon. I've just started looking into this and don't have specific names, I want to email the local tourist offices for contacts and numbers.

In Bourgogne the tourist office in Beaune is said to be an excellent source of information, they also offer guided tours themselves. From what I hear you absolutely need an appointment to visit wineries in that region and Rue des Vignerons is a good source to help you set these up. Private tours are rather expensive, though some of the operators have small group tours you can join.

Apart from wineries we will also be going to wine coops in both regions, these places offer tastings and have wines from several different producers and you can quite often pick up award winning wines at quite reasonable prices. In Provence the coop in Gigondas is said to be excellent, also the one in Bonnieux.

In Beaune you can do tastings at Marche aux Vins and Patriarche Fils which are very well reviewed, the later has over 5 kms of caves. This apart any place with the name "maison" is usually a negociant where you can find wines from places along the whole cote.

The Beaune forum on Trip Advisor has a couple of current threads on this topic, this is by someone who has just returned from the region and he has loads of useful tips about visiting the wineries and carrying wine back home - he even brought back 26 bottles of wine in his checked-in baggage if you please!!!
