Will need a Taxi/Guide to pick us up at Heathrow. Anyone know of a good driver with car?
We will be flying into London on Aug. 27th.....landing at Heathrow. Can anyone suggest a good, relievable Taxi driver? Then perhaps we will use him for a couple of days while in London.

We booked roundtrip airport transportation with JustAirports.com. There prices seem very reasonable (comapred with other services and regualr taxi), especially if you pay cash (vs. credit card). There are many favorable posts here about their service.

It sounds like you are happy with the answers you have already received, but I think that Eddie Manning's company has a good reputation; I will let you decide(tell me?) if you think these rates - - http://www.chauffeur.co.uk/tariffs.htm - - are competitive.

Here's a group recommended by the owners of the London apartments where our friends will be staying.
We have used a small group of drivers for 15 years and they are polite, punctual and reliable. Lushi is the head of the group; he is from Yugoslavia and helpful.
The drivers have agreed on a flat rate of £35 from Heathrow, £60 from Gatwick to pick up from the airport and to take you back. It is lower than the normal black taxi rate and they all drive Mercedes or comparably nice cars, which is a plus. They also are available to do day trips, etc, which you can organize separately with them when you arrive.
