I want to thank everyone for their replies. We do plan to visit the National Archaeological Museum in Naples before we see Pompeii and Herculaneum.

We like to hike but crowded hikes are no fun. I'm fine skipping C5 this trip and the kids are too. Are the hikes in the Amalfi Coast as busy? The Path of the Gods sounds amazing but not if it's elbow to elbow. (Not looking for wilderness but don't want to feel like someone might crash into us if a kid trips or suddenly decides he needs a break and stops).

You may have already found this thread that has some discussion about hikes on the Amalfi Coast. It was not crowded at all in 2014 when we did our hike on the POG from Bomerano to Nocelle.

Best Amalfi Town to stay in

I'm sure it can vary, but I found CT like a conga line (if you get up to the higher trails, I am sure it can be divine), whereas on the AC we did not find the trails crowded (did two out of Amalfi and one between Amalfi and Maiaori, not PoG).

You already have a very full schedule. No, there is no need to add Cinque Terre
