Nikki, I’ve read this report a few times, and discover something new each time.

We went to see the Bayeux Tapestry in September. We were 30 seconds too late...we ended up right behind a Dutch tour group. It was a rather frustrating experience at the beginning when we were all bunched up and trying to keep up with the audio guide. Fortunately, we were able to hopscotch ahead when some people didn’t move on.

Giverny and Chartre are on our list for April, so I’ll be rereading again!

I just discovered this TR. What a delightful read! I want to take a trip and follow in your footsteps, although skip the conference part of it. I hope Alan recovered fairly quickly. How lovely the B&B sounds and what delightful innkeepers. I enjoyed every minute of reading it, but delight in discovering a new phrase -
"You can’t do everything"
I love your approach and I'm going to "borrow" that phrase.
Loved the tree/bush story as well. Thanks for taking us along with you.

WOW !!! I can't believe I missed this first and second time around. Praising your report and You helped me relive my trip in Normandy with my late husband. We had lunch in Beuvon-en-Auge and I bought a small rooster at a santon shop there. It sits in my kitchen on the stove.I have a picture of me on the bridge in Giverny And the Ancient Hotel Baudy has a picture I snapped of the interior of the artists studio out back. So the readers know Hotel is no longer a hotel It was where the American painters stayed to visit Monet and the woman owner had a thanksgiving turkey for them,
Again Thank you , thank you, We'll always have Proust.
