I hit the submit button too fast- was gonna add "especially how the kiddos behave". I've got three teens and boy would they be super cranky with an itinerary like this (though I'm so confused as to what the itinerary is).

yes it will be interesting . . itinerary is pretty simple
one week London
one week uzes
one week paris
3 days near Disney
4 days sarlat
1 night carcasonne
4 days barceona
4 days lucca
5 days varnenna
2 nights Milan
4 days Prague
4 days Berlin
5 days Frankfurt
At the moment hubby is 3-4 hrs away from home for work and so this means we do the 3-4hr drive almost every week and then we stay at his home for 3 nights and drive back . . . the kids seem fine with that for the moment so here's hoping they cope with it in Europe! I also feel like having two full days is fine . . I know others would disagree ..but this is what we have done and booked so no need to comment on alternatives.
Basically all I am looking for now is places to see and eat at when in the places listed. If you do feel to comment and make suggestions please try to keep it to this. Thanks

Hi, crazyfamilyof4. You may want to post for dining reccos for each of the cities in separate posts - in each country, rather than here at the end. Example: Kid-Friendly Dining Reccos in Milan (under Country: Italy). That way, the post may not be as unwieldy with posters with knowledge of all the countries you're visiting leaping on board. Just an idea.
HOpe you have a great trip! I envy the vacation time Australians seem to get! That's the way to do it!

Paris apartment: Contact [email protected].
We used this service in April 2012. Our apartment was on 16 Rue JJ Rousseau very close to the Louvre. It was convenient to all public transportation also.
They sent us photos of the apartment prior to renting it and it was as described and shown when we arrived.
Ours was only 1 bedroom 1 bath and you would need something larger. Try the email above to see what they come up with. Our cost was a little over $200 per night.

Traveldawg.
When the notoriously and indeed flagrantly fickle and changeable OP has said We have booked accommodation "so no need to comment on alternatives", why - for pity's sake WHY - would you reopen the accommodation debate?

that itinerary is crazy. We are going to Italy for 22 days. Taking a cruise so we don't have to pack and unpack all the time. Then flying back from Barcelona to enjoy another week between Rome and Cinque Terre. We would kill each other at that pace. Perhaps some quality time verses it is Tuesday and we must be in Belgium?

dcinnv: She's already booked the trip, so don't get all worked up. Yes, it's absolutely the most over-the-top trip ever blasted onto Fodors, but just enjoy it for what it is. And with 2- and 4-year-old kids who won't remember a thing about any of it.
I'm not even going to get involved in the family-friendly restaurants part of it, even though I know loads about that, having traveled all over with young kids for years, but this woman doesn't take any advice and goes off on tangents and revises plans in a heartbeat, so why waste the energy

Good to know, wow, we left ours at home. Shoot I would not even do that alone much less with a 2 and 4 yr old. Maybe she could donate to our trip so we can stay a bit longer in Rome, as I am thinking 4 days is rushing it, LOL

Always enough energy to be spiteful though.

I will make no comment on your plans other than it's your holiday,it's your family and it's your life.
As to Prague this link may be of help to you.The website is run by a good friend of mine and though his children are now past the age of your children his info is very good.

Claire - Can you post your itinerary again, with dates? I can't remember when you'll be where! As I recall, you are starting off in London in about a week and 1/2!
I know we've been everything from helpful to snarky - but I do believe we are all looking forward to a trip report with loads of pics! My suggestion is to start a trip report thread the day before you leave and add to it each day. Do you have a place where you will be posting photos you can link to?
