Hi I have to pick between these.. only one day left!!... which would you think is the best to go to for a day out of London. Windsor Castle, Hampton Court or Kensington ?

First of all Kensington Palace in is central London -- not out of town, and would be about #10+ in the list of London sites for most visitors.

Windsor is more famous but I agree with janis about H Court being a better, for me at least, experience - fewer crowds and in many ways more interesting than even Windsor Castle.

But Windsor is not just the castle but a thriving regional town with right opposite the castle over the Thames Eton - the tony boarding school - interesting to poke around the school quads.

But you can't go wrong.

But if looking for the castle of your dreams -Windsor is the only castle - the other two palaces.

Both HCP and Windsor Castle are wonderful, but if I had to pick one, it would be Hampton Court Palace.
