Of course you couldn't figure out - why should an airline fly the 180 km distance?
You have a choice of train or train
(or rental car of course but this doesn't make sense either).

The only reason people wouldn't want to fly is because the rail service is so good. This isn't that different a distance than between Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, or LAX and SAN and people fly between those two pairs of cities all the time

Did you try www.airberlin.com. Or try www.whichbudget.com
I flew Air Berlin last summer from Zurich to Berlin one-way. Great service, cheap price, nice flight attendants, free food and drinks and a roomy leather seat.

There are a number of EuroCity trains per day that make the trip from Berlin Hbf to Dresden in 2:11 for 32 EUR per person. Other trains take close to 3 hours and cost more.
However, if there are two or more of you, for just one hour longer (3:14), you can take regional trains and save at least 27 EUR.
You use a Brandenburg ticket at 23 EUR (for up to 5 people) to Prösen, then 6,80 EUR per person from there to Dresden.
