Where was that picture taken?

I got a great deal on a framed picture last night called "Parisian Kiss", by Carlton Mickle. Can someone please tell me where the picture was taken? I can't seem to place it.

I don't know, but I'd like to find it and photograph Madame Robespierre there with me.

Come to think of it, maybe some enterprising Parisian could start a photo concession...

Sounds like a good idea.
I've already been "spoken to" because "we" didn't kiss there!

You could ask the photographer himself:

Its in the Tuilleries Gardens in front of the louvre. The building in the background is the tip of the wing of the Louvre. I believe that it is on the seine side of the garden.

Me too, I thought it was the Luxembourg Gardens. Yet the building in the background resembles one in the Tuileries Gardens. So which one is it really?

I don't remember cobblestones in the Lux. Mostly dirt and such.

I guess we'll have to go and find out which jardin it is now, won't we? Perhaps a compare & contrast study is in order.

I was just doing a search on some items and ran across this thread.

Fountain Bleu is the location of the photo in question. I was staying with some friends out in the countryside and since I was doing some kissing stock photos at the time I volunteered them to do some smooching for me.

I did not name the poster, Paris was close enough for the publisher.

Hope that answers a question for you all.

Happy Travels!

Well. Thank you Mr. Mickle!

Of all the threads I've read on these forums, this is the first time the actual artist has popped up to answer the question. How fun!
