Where to Stay - Ribera del Duero & Rueda

Hello Friends,

Any recommendations on where would be the best place to stay for a group (10-ish people) traveling specifically to visit the wineries of Ribera del Duero and Rueda over the course of 3 days? On a map it looks like Tordesillas, Valladolid, Peņafiel, and Aranda del Duero are all neatly situated in the area where we'll be traveling. We'll have transportation, are looking for a place that won't put us too far away from the bodegas, but still want to be in a location where we won't struggle to find something to do in the evenings. Are the towns mentioned here the best places to stay? Any other place you would recommend? Is Burgos too out of the way?

Thank you so much!

For me, Burgos, although a lovely city, would be too far.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in Spain is located in Sardon del Duero and is the home of very fine wine producer.

Do you have interest in the local food, especially the young lamb? If so, you will find yourself in heaven, as there are some memorable restaurants within an easy drive of your target area. We did a trip a few years back that was just focused on the asadores (roast meat restaurants) in that area.

Among them is MANNIX, in the small town of Campaspero, but there are others:

Do not know much about nightlife in that region.....other than restaurants. Dinner begins around 9-10pm so after that, not sure what you could find...
