Where to Stay on Korcula

We'll be in Korcula for 3 nights in May. Any suggestions for where my husband and I might stay? We prefer smaller places, boutique style hotels or an apt would be good. Thanks for your thoughts!

It's been a while since I was there so I cannot recommend a specific place, but I can recommend a location. On my two visits, I thought the area to the west of old town, along the bay, had an amazing view. You get the sea, the mountain on the mainland, and the sunlight on the gold stones of old town. If you search a site like booking.com, you can search by location--there are several rentals available in this area.

We did not stay in Korcula town when we visited, so I can give no recommendations for accommodations there, but stayed at the other end of the island in Vela Luka. That village is small and has wonderfully friendly folks, but lacks the historic venues of Korcula town. it is also some 40 kilometers from Korcula town, and connects only with a once a day bus. An alternative might be the small village of Lumbarda. It is only seven kilometers away from Korcula, and is connected by an hourly bus. The cozy town and marvelous clean beaches impressed us very much. You might get the best of both worlds by staying there. https://www.korculainfo.com/lumbarda/

I stayed at the Korcula Royal Apartments, which still gets excellent reviews.

Thanks, nukesafe --That area looks lovely and I'm sure less crowded. I think because we won't have a car we want to stay in a bigger town.

kja thanks--I will check it out.
