Where to stay in Ischia?
I am traveling to Ischia for my honeymoon the last week of August and am stumped on where to stay! There are so many hotels and I'm not sure what part of the island is best. My (soon to be) husband and I want to be seaside and have easy access to a beach. Pools are nice but not a requirement. We would also love to be able to book a room with a sea view balcony. Does anyone have suggestions? I have never before traveled to Italy so I am very unfamiliar.
Thanks so much for any advice you can offer.

How lovely! And certainly lots of choices...
That's the peak of the season here, and a particularly expensive time - so an idea of your preferred budget would be a great help?
If you'd like somewhere relatively quiet, this is one of the nicest of the places right on the beach....

Our favourite area though, both for holidaying and also when it came to finding a home here, has always been the eastern end, near the Castello Aragonese - the "Ischia Ponte" part of the comune of Ischia (one of the 6 that make up the island).
But even that little islet, there's a hotel - in the old nunnery....

... or, somewhat nearer groundlevel, a host of places - ranging in price from, just as examples:

So perhaps you might like to begin with a rummage here, to see a little of what the various towns and villages are like....

... and then narrow down the accommodation on offer?

I had a similar dilemma before my trip; maybe this planning thread will help:

Here is the report I wrote after the visit; Ischia is lovely!
