Where to stay in Aix en Provence?

We are planning on spending two nights in Aix in May and would like to find an inexpensive place to stay. There are five adults traveling together and if anyone has a recomendation for lodging or resturants we would love to hear about them.
Thanks,
Robin

Try the hotel Le Manoir. Price is quite reasonable for an excellent location (right in the heart of the old town). Plus there is parking on site which is a major plus in Aix. It's an old converted convent pretty from the outside with nice vaulted breakfast room. Rooms are not big, but for the price, it is a good deal.

We stayed st the Manoir and the bonus is they have their own car parc which made getting out of the city very easy. Th breakfast was awful, I wish we had it elsewhere but this was a few years ago hopefully it has improved. Other than that, it's a bargain.

Reserve Le Manoir immediately. I found it difficult to get into. (They refused to discuss reservations in May until February, then were full up for our dates when I emailed on Feb. 3.)
