Where to stay 2 nites in Paris
I will be on a stopover for 2 nites in Paris. It my first time, will be solo, and I want to do the usual-Eiffel Tower, Louve, etc. Am looking for suggestions as to where to stay in the area of these activities (or somewhere near airport?) Middle price range, clean, quiet, front desk that speaks English would be great, as I have Spanish, not French background!
Thanks for any first-hand you can provide!

Karn - There are so many clean budget hotels but we loved staying on Ile de Cite` right in front of Notre Dame.
For such a short time you could use the buses or metro to get to all the sights quickly but from the hotel it's easy walking to either the left or right bank.

You might look at Hotel College de France on the Rue Thenard. This hotel is in the Latin Quarter, a short walk away from the Seine and Notre Dame. It is a clean hotel and the front desk folks are very friendly and speak English.
The nearest Metro stop is Maubert-Mutuality, just down the block on Blvd. St. Germain.
My husband and I stayed here after reading a recommendation from the famed Fodor poster Thingorjust.
I don't think you want to stay at the airport. That would be a sin in a city like Paris.

We stayed at the Hotel de Mines at the latin quarters, clean 3 star w nearby cafes at 100 euros/night - it is okay..the area is in a quiet safe late at night walking neighborhood and is right in the main street, not along some small, darkly lit not so safe but cheaper location.i would prefer the hotels that were recommended based on first hand experience..yes it is a sin to stay near the airport in paris!

Hello
I spent a couple of days in this hotel called Abbatial St-Germain http://www.hotelabbatialsaintgermain.com/ . It's located in the 5th arrondissement, in the Latin Quarter. It's a few minutes by metro from the Louvre. But the Latin Quarter is an area really nice, living and charming. This hotel is nice! I really enjoyed it.
