Where to meet in CDG?

Hi-
A friend and I are flying into CDG on separate airlines and are trying to coordinate the meeting. Does anyone know of any good "landmarks" in the United arrivals area where we can meet? I would hate for us to be wandering around the airport trying to locate one another, without the benefit of having cell phones.
Thanks!
Instead of trying to meet in the madhouse of the airlines terminal meet at the bar or lobby of the Sheraton which is IN the main terminal

Hi, some of this will depend on what your two airlines are and if they arrive at the same terminal or not.
Maybe these websites will help you
www.paris-airports.com/ or www. adp.fr diagrams of airports, English available.
If you can agree on which terminal you will meet at, there should be an information desk in the baggage claim area of each terminal.

I would pick the Hertz Auto rental desk. Just make sure you and your friend are arriving at the same terminal or else it could get a little tricky.

First, lets consider the layout of Terminal 2. It consists of 4 separate buildings, also called Halls, lettered A, B, C and D.

The four are arranged roughly like this

A B
C D
Use your imagingation and connect the four points as a figure 8.
Right in the center of the 8, all four buildings join. You can go downstairs and walk easily from the A - C side to the B - D side. Right where A and C join there is a branch of La Brioche Doree that serves great sandwiches and pastries for a reasonable price. Behind the sales counter, there are places to sit. I suggest that you select this as a meeting place because it is highly visible, there are places to sit, the food is good, and rest rooms are close by.

http://www.adp.fr/webadp/a_cont01_an.nsf/$$ATTACHdb/7BDD334D36C5AB7B4125687E006DC0A3/$File/cdg2gran.gif?OpenElement
If you can, consult a map of the place by tapping into the above web page.
If you look where A and C join and B and D join, there is an area in the middle.
Stairs and an escalator lead down to this level and this is where you connect from one Hall to the other. La Brioche Doree is at the end of Hall C near to the connection to Hall A on the upper level. There is another place to get food there also, and all of the places share a common seating area. CDG does not seem to have a lot of good open areas for seating, so I suggest the eating establishment.
