where to go ? - croatia , baltic states , portugal?

My wife , 6 month old baby and are heading over to lithuania to visit her family in late april and want to head off somewhere for a week - 10 days leaving our beautiful daughter with the grandparents. Last year we spent a great week in barcelona , previously did Paris . I travelled western europe extensively 10yrs ago as a tour guide and am leaning towards seeing something new to me and not too touristy. We love our food , interesting little places as well as cities and would love any recommendations about the above 3 possibilities , or other anyone is passionate about . First time on a blog so fingers crossed !! oh any tips on travelling with a 6 month old?

Have been twice to Portugal and twice to Croatia. I'd choose Croatia. It's gorgeous. One trip we did was just Dubrovnnik, staying in a little apartment in the middle of the Old Town. We had 4 days and didn't travel far but found lots to do.

The other trip was Piran in Slovenia, then Rovinj on the Croatian coast, across to Opatija on the other side of Croatia then back to Trieste for a flight back. That was about a 10 day trip.

The place we stayed in Rovinj was terrific:

Have not been to the baltic states but I would think that would be more "not too touristy" than either Portugal or Croatia. I've been to both of those and loved them both - you'd have a fabulous ten days and they are both somewhat less touristy than say Paris or Rome. But both are firmly in the 'discovered' category.

A few years ago we did an 8 night Croatia trip that included four in Dubrovnik (VERY touristy but worth it) with day trips to Mostar and Montenegro, two nights in Korcula and two in Split with a day trip to Trogir. Great trip. Here's my trip report - http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...rful-weeks.cfm There is also a link to my photos

A few years before that we did an 11 night trip to Portugal and did about 6 nights Lisbon, then rented a car for Evora, Marvoa, Combia, Obidos. Trip report - http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ith-photos.cfm
