Where is go 2 weeks in August

Hi, a gruup of us are going to Europe for two weeks and are trying to figure out an itinerary, and I need some help. I have already been to Spain and Portugal and loved it, but I want to go to some new places. We're going in August so not sure what is suggested or not suggested in this month. We have been throwing around Italy, Paris, Amsterdam, Germany, etc. and wanted to see what you thought.....help!

you could do a nice circle with amsterdam, brusells, paris and say hamburg in germany...that would make a really nice trip and doable by train..

Sorry for the typo and sorry not knowing much about Europe in advance- I haven't done any research yet on any of these areas. What is the weather like in August and also what is Brusells and/or Hamburg? Do you think I would be missing out on not going to Italy or should I save that for another trip? I guess I'm leaning a little towards Italy vs. Paris, but I don't know why.

Maybe let the weather help with the decision. Isn't Italy hot and crowded in August? We loved Amsterdam in June, and I'll bet it's even nicer in August. Maybe stay north and see Germany, Austria, etc.

I would stay north and do the Alps from Luzern to Bavaria to Salzburg. Include Munich and perhaps Vienna for your city fixes.

Hi, it depends on what you like to do ( and sometimes on the age of the people in your group), if you intend to drive, do you like cities or small towns etc...
If you are thinking about Italian or French coast , they are jammed with Europeans.
Big cities like Paris and Rome are usually less crowded ( the natives are on holidays)
and some businesses and restaurants are closed.
In Amsterdam,
Copenhagen, cities in Germany or Stockholm the weather may be cooler.
Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam sounds good
I would stay away from Italy (except northern lakes)
