I've lived in Australia all my life - born in Adelaide, then Sydney for primary school year, Brisbane for high school and uni, then Darwin first ten years and then back to Brisbane for fiften years. Been to Asia several times, and USA once (for 1999 NYE) - now planning first trip to Europe (I'm excited!).

I live in Adelaide - and am going to Europe in July with my husband for 4 weeks.
I went as a 21 year old many years ago after I finished my first year teaching, but my husband has only ever been on business so like you, we are very, very excited!

BTW, this website has been invaluable in helping us plan our trip.At first I felt a bit foolish asking questions but the responses have genuinely been helpful so it has been worth the slight embarrassment.

Hi Sissy, like you I am finding the advice given so willingly on this site really helpful too. Know what you mean about the 'feeling silly' to start with but the more specific the queries, then the better the answers it seems. My first Europe trip is from mid-June to mid-July this year too - in the planning phase now (hence my regular visits to this forum) - taking in London, touring England, Paris, and Venice/Rome. My husband doesn't want to come so I'd decided to go on my own, but a friend of mine asked if she could come too (her hubby travels to Europe regularly for work).
What parts of Europe are you including in your trip? Hope its a great trip too, wherever you go!

Now living in Tucson, AZ; born LA, lived in Bishop CA, So Pasadena CA; Seattle WA; Sun Valley ID;La Jolla Ca;Newport Beach CA; La Canada CA;Kerikeri NZ; Big Island HA; plus 8 years on sailboat in SO Pacific. Just gypsies I guess!

Born and raised in North Central Montana. After college in Oregon, lived 17 years in Hawaii-including 5 years at the very end of the road in east Maui. Currently live on the Central Coast of California. Now in the center of two extremes. What will life bring next?

I was born in Siliguri in North Bengal,India. Grew up amidst the beautiful Himalyan hills and Dooars forest. Finished school and college in Kolkata , the cultural capital of India.Moved to Delhi for my Masters and then lived in Jamshedpur at my first job for 7 yrs before moving back to kolkata and then flying out to Lausanne,Switzerland where I am presently working. My next destination is the US.

I was born in Las Vegas, NV. Moved to Bakersfield CA at 15, San Luis Obispo CA for college, 2 years in San Clemente CA, 2 years in Benicia CA, 6 in Folsom CA, 7 years in Weston CT then back to the wonderful CA Central Coast - San Luis Obispo where I will stay as long as I possibly can!

I am from Mumbai, India, currently living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Having done S.E Asia extensively, I ve recently discovered Europe. And I love it.
Been to UK & France (only Paris, though) and off to Italy in 2 days.
And may I add, I love this forum.

Born in Chicago. Lived Reno...Beaufort, SC...Millington, TN...Jacksonville, NC...Houston, TX...Gages Lake, IL...Now residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. (But wishing I lived in Europe, perhaps Italy...at least for a few years.)

5 1/2 years and 1100+ postings...had to join in on this one!

Moved to Texas-San Antonio, then College Station as one of those Aggies who "never" leave
After 25+ years of rarely leaving Texas, spent the last two years in Doha, Qatar!
This gave us a great chance to see Europe, which is how I discovered this forum 1 1/2 years ago and have gleaned (and hopefully now given) much information since.
