Where do cruise ships dock in Venice

We are going on a cruise in Sept which ends in Venice. Lucky us, we're extending the stay there by two nights. Does anyone know where the ships dock? Are there water taxis there or any vaporetto nearby to bring us into the Grand Canal or near San Marco? Thanks for any help on this.

Peggyann,

You'll find all the information you need on ships' terminals in Venice, as well as how to get there, or to reach San Marco from there at:

Regards,

I remember it being about a mile north of Plaza San Marcos.

There are at least three places where cruise ships berth in Venezia. The main Stazione Marittima is near Piazzale Roma. Some smaller ships use San Basilio which has a vaporetto stop, and others berth between San Marco and Giardini. The operators of your ship should be able to tell you where they berth.
