Hello- I am driving from Paris to Provence and wanted to know of a good place to stop along the way. Any suggestions?

Chateau de Longsard, about 30 minutes from Lyon. Many other posts here, by me, about it.

Best wishes,

Rex

Peruges, a Medievil village unlike anything in Burgundy.

Stop for what? To sightsee? Eat? Rest? It depends. There are loads of great rest stops along all the French autoroutes where you can get a great sandwich and a cup of coffee, for example, but if you actually want to engage in sightseeing or some other activity, that would mean something else. So, stop for what purpose?

I stayed at Chateau Longsard too! We really liked it. The owners are wonderful. They will have dinner for you if you tell them you want it.
It was our stop between Paris and Avignon.
