Hi, Stu. Funny!

All I know is, with one exception (the 500-year-old one at the Pont du Gard), it's the biggest olive tree I've ever come across!

Julie you are thinking of a newfoundland. a huge dog like a Pyr or Saint Bernard (my other dog) but they are black and love the water & have webbed feet!

and the other a flock guardian

Amsdon, thanks for clearing up a lifelong inaccuracy in my knowledge of dog breeds. I don't think I've ever actually seen a great pyrenees. Would love to. They look fantastic.

Saint Martin du Canigou; We walked up a steep, narrow, paved road for about 40 minutes to see the Abbey. Another 3 minutes to an overlook. However, we missed the trail and walked another 45 minutes up a difficult trail, with another couple, before realizing our mistake. The Monk had told me 3 minutes. Obviously I don't hear very good. iris1745/dick

Nah.. I love looking at your pictures! In the meantime, I'm too full from the clotted cream that I can't even change my photo!

I haven't been to Mike's Pastry for a long time now... North End isn't that convenient for me to get to! The photo in my profile was taken at the Ritz Carlton in St Louis where I treated my husband for an afternoon tea there for his birthday in 2006.
