When is the best time to get good fare to London for mid May
When and where should I be looking for a good fare to London, UK from Midwest USA for mid May? BA has a great deal on now through end April, but that is too early for me.
Do I have to check many sites on a daily basis or is there an easier way? Thanks

Sue- This is a perennial question that, I think, has no definitive answer. Here are some suggestions:
side step (www.sidestep.com) is a program that's been mentioned here that you can download. Then when you're searching prices on any website (ie. Travelocity, Orbitz etc.) it will supposedly give you a "side step" box with any cheaper fares than the ones you're being shown. I've not tried it.

www.travelhub.com has been mentioned here as having great prices. I just checked them for fares from Chicago to LHR May 15-May 30 & it showed a price of $512 from a "major Canadian airline". Don't know if that means you have to "commit" before knowing the exact airline & route but it's worth a try. (FYI-then went to Air canada website & couldn't find anything close?)

Air India consistently has the lowest fares from NY to London so that's worth trying.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I booked a few weeks ago through travelhub: Cleveland to London Gatwick via Pittsburgh. My fare was $414 + taxes - about $530 in total. I am flying in early June and returning late August. I have found travelhubs fares are usually good.
If it says major American airline, you can easily find out which one it is by checking the flight numbers and times. To do this, continue as if you wish to complete a booking but do not actually complete it. Major Canadian airline almost always means Air Canada. The pale blue fares on travelhub are US Air.
Also, look at where you have to change planes to work out which airline it is. Detroit = North West, Charlotte / Pittsburgh / Phil. = US Air, Chicago + usually American, Newark - often Continental.
Hope this helps a little. If you find a good fare, I would book a.s.a.p.
