Wheelchair in Sorrento - Bubbles
Hi Bubbles,
I'm starting a new thread so that others who might know more than I can help.
I know nothing about renting wheelchairs.
Bringing your own might be appropriate.
How are you planning to get to Naples and to Sorrento?

I do have my own wheelchair which I can bring.
We are flying to Naples then going onto Sorrento Hotel Best Western La Solara for 7 nights. I read that there is a bus from Naples airport to Sorrrento but have not checked if there are direct trains yet. I do not know whether to stay extra 2 nights in Sorrrento and travel to Naples for a day or to stay in Naples last 2 nights.
Thankyou for all your help I am new to this site and am slowly learning how to use it. I have alot to find out about.
Like fare to Capri, and all other vistors attractions. How easy to get to them etc.
Did you like Naples?, Did you stay there?.

Bubbles - There are 6 buses daily (operator: Curreri) between Naples airport and Sorrento with deps. at:
09.00
11.30
13.00
14.30
16.30
19.00
Here's the link:
http://www.curreriviaggi.it/
(Click 'Autolinee')
.....
There's no direct train from the airport - you'd have to bus or taxi to Napoli Centrale station and take the train (Circumvesuviana) to Sorrento from there.
Trains depart every 30 mins, and journey time is just over an hour.
.....
You can find ferry/hydrofoil timetables and fares to Capri on:
http://www.capri.net/salsa/lang/en/page/transport.html
Hope this helps ...

Hi B,
>I do not know whether to stay extra 2 nights in Sorrrento and travel to Naples for a day or to stay in Naples last 2 nights.<
What time does your plane leave Naples? If it is very early, you might have to stay in Naples.
The cheap way is to take the Circumvesuviana commuter train to Naples Centrale - about 1 hr.
The expensive way is to hire a driver to take you to your hotel in Naples - about 90E.
Enjoy your visit.
If you do this, I suggest staying in Naples.

Thanks Steve, Ira
We have gone on that web site but there are no prices for bus fair from naples airport to Sorrento, so I have emailed them.
We have had a quote for limousine from Naples airport to Saint Agnello La Solara (which is the hotel we are staying at) they quoted £49 one way.
We have now decided to stay in Sorrento for the whole 9 nights and travel to Naples for a day. Any suggestions best way and cheapest of getting there

Bubbles - The Airport-Sorrento Curreri shuttle fare is approx. €6.00
How to get to Naples?
The cheapest option is train (Circumvesuviana) - journey time 60-70 mins.
One-way fare is € 3.20.
Departures are every half hour. For timetables:
http://www.massalubrense.it/circum.htm
Alternatively you can go by hydrofoil.
It's a direct service to Molo Beverello - journey time about 30 mins.
Fare is €7.50 one way, €15.00 return.
For timetables go to:
