First look at e.g. Expedia.co.uk or lastminute.com. These will show you which airlines fly this route and an approx price. Then look at the airlines' sites too, in case you can get a better price there. Flight prices on every site can change very rapidly.

if you're willing to fly on the regional jets, try:
www.ryanair.com
www.easyjet.com
www.virgin-express.com
www.flybe.com

For anyone searching and picking this post up:

Expedia and Lastminute.com do NOT tell you which airlines operate a route. Both these sites offer a very limited selection of airlines, and exclude most of the major low-price airlines. Skyscanner also has restricted airline coverage. The problem is most acute on flights out of the British Isles, where there is now a bewildering profusion of recent airline launches.

For - I think - a full listing of airlines and timings on any route go to www.nonrev.net.
