I am not German but not so far off and when friends from US come they have one bottle of Napa valley wine.

We don't have much Us wines and they are even more expensive than there.

They do actually brew rather nice beer in Germany and there are lots of microbreweries. Like the US, there are, of course, the megacorporation brands, but they would certainly beat the American equivalents into a cocked hat.
I would second the suggestion of some quality American wine, preferably red.

Aaargh!

- Baking soda. It was invented in Germany, by Dr. August Oetker.

- Napa Valley Wine. Every neighbourhood store in Germany has Robert Mondavi and Fetzer. Good wineries have dozens of Californian wines.

- Bourbon Whiskey. 99% of Germany do not like Bourbon Whiskey. And good liquor stores have all the big brands like Knob's Creek etc.

- Rum. Again, 99% of Germans do not like Rum. And it is not a U.S. product. And we can get all Carribean Rums like Appleton, Mount Gay etc. easily here.

- Key lime specialties - excellent idea.

- Local fudge - excellent idea. No import restrictions.

- Craft beer. My neigbhourhood liquor store in Bochum has about 30 sorts of American craft beer. However a local craft beer is always a good idea.
