Perhaps not the WhatHello name, but he is still lurking.

Not sure about the lounge, but definitely on the Europe board.

Keep posting Traviata for your GTG.

I have enjoyed Whathello's posts. He can get lively, yes, but he is a wealth of information. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person too. He is lovely.

Another sad loss to this forum.

Hopefully people planning GTG have exchanged emails? Or Facebook or something?

I agree with Leely2. The worst example of troll behavior I have ever experienced on a board. I can't believe it was tolerated here. I pity the poor folks who are entertained by this behavior. Life has to be pretty dull to find his narcissism tolerable.

He was fun but often posted nonsense. I don't mean stuff that I disagreed with, I mean stuff that was probably meant to be funny but didn't make much sense. Too bad, though. Have a feeling he's a great guy to get a beer with.

Don't really agree with his reasoning, though. If you don't want to post about travel, why post on fodors? I actually like the travel only rule. The off topic subforums of other travel are generally stupid game threads or politics or oversharing personal life stuff. No value in it.

And his thing about moronic posts...well, stupidity is not limited to fodors, sadly. Nor is it limited to the virtual world. The novel I picked up last weekend is a sad testament to that fact...I'd like to think the author was a monkey but that's probably an insult to monkeys. No doubt they write better than that.
