The fountains at Versailles only run for a few hours on Sunday, and on Saturdays during the summer. I think it's really a waste to see Versailles at any other time.

Just back and ok this Sunday I started with a walk to Notre Dame as a friend wanted to see it again. We wandered around and a mass was going on inside. After we walked along the Paris Plage, wandered for a few hours headed towards the Marais and looked at all the nice shops and boutiques in the area. did not get bored once! Oh and had lots of food and wine that night

A reply to my own post. There are organ recitals at the Notre Dame at 4:30 on Sundays. Free, of course.

wondering, you could be thinking of the Puces de St. Ouen, also known as Clignancourt. This is the large flea market just north of Paris past the Porte de Clignancourt. Open Saturday and Sunday (Monday too, but less is open then).

Also available on weekends is the Puces de Vanves, at the south end of Paris at the Porte de Vanves. Not a permanent market like Clignancourt, just temporary tables set up on Saturday and Sunday.
