What's open in Paris on New Years Day?
I'm not really worried about cafes and such, as we will have stocked up the apt. on Fri. just in case. More concerned with the museums and other tourist sights.
I'm guessing that even though it will be on Saturday, because of New years, most if not all of the big stores and small retail establishments will be closed...likewise much of the Marais since it's not only a holiday, but Sabbath.
We love just walking around in Paris, admiring the architecture, people-watching, etc., but gosh, I don't want to do it all day long with no other options.
Please tell me that a few interesting things will be open! Thanks.
