What is the best way to get to Heathrow Airport

We are staying near St Pancras (about 10 - 15 minute walk I am told). There are 4 of us and we each have one luggage (carry on size). Our flight is scheduled to leave Heathrow at 1:35PM on a Tuesday.

If you want cheap -- take the tube from St Pancras all the way to LHR. No changes. A schlepp both walking to St Pancras and from the tube to your terminal - but w/ rolling bags it shouldn't be too bad.

For more money but very easy -- book a ride w/ justairports.com They will pick you up at your hotel and drop you at your LHR terminal for about £40.

Would http://www.justairports.com/ be a good alternative? If we go with the car service when should we schedule to be picked up, accounting for traffic?

Uh - yes . . . >>For more money but very easy -- book a ride w/ justairports.com <<

If you book by phone and tell them what time you want to be at the airport they will tell you the best time for pick up. But on a week day morning I'd want to leave about an 65-70 minutes ahead. So if you want to be at LHR 10:30 or 11AM for a 1:35 flight - book pick up around 9:30.

I think they usually charge around £40 for only a couple people with bags, and would guess they'll charge more for four. It won't be bad.

They usually charge £32 to £35 for two, so for four it could be £40 or slightly more if they determine you need a larger vehicle.

I've booked them (or other car services) three months ahead -- and the night before. No need to book far in advance but at least a few days in case it is a very heavy travel day.
