What is difference between Comfort 1 and Comfort 2?

Please help!

I have looked ALL over www.thalys.com. I see exactly what is offered for Comfort 1 (although no pictures of seats anywhere?) following the "Discover Comfort 1" link.

What I can't find is any information on Comfort 2. What I want to know is: Is the only difference between Comfort 1 and 2 the size of the seat and a "free" meal for the higher price. I see internet is free with Comfort 1 but not sure if it is also free for Comfort 2.

Just trying to make an informed decision on if I should spend the extra money for a train ride of just over 3 hours from Amsterdam to Paris.

Thanks!

Funny, I'm trying to book the same trip on Thalys right now. Had a problem with my Visa, so was looking here for advice.

Can't help you with the difference in Comforts 1 and 2, but we are going with Comfort 2. I don't think the higher price is worth is for just a few hours.

Are you seeing 35euros for the Smoove Comfort 2 fare? That's for March 21...

Comfort 1 has 2 + 1 seating and the seats are bigger.

Comfort 2 has 2 + 2 seating. Still comfortable and plenty of legroom.

We are going in May to Europe for a few weeks. Arriving in Amsterdam and then departing to Paris on Tuesday, May 11th by train. I think the 35 euros was a special. I picked the latest Tuesday date available and it is 46 euros (vs. 79 euros for Comfort 1). Even if I pay for an hour of internet (did find where that is 6.5 euros for 60 minutes) and a small snack I still save roughly $75 by traveling with Comfort 1. And, since I am traveling with hubby, being smushed in a smaller seat isn't really a big deal since they are 2 x 2 in the Comfort 2 carriage.

Have fun! I am very excited about the trip. It is Christmas present for hubby so he doesn't know yet but I am sure he will be thrilled.
