What do you love most about travel in Europe (be specific)?

The fact that I can always know how much an item is (tax included).
Watching British programs 6 months before PBS airs them.
Noticing the difference and many similarities between our countries.
I can get a good cup of tea at an English restaurant.
Viewing paintings, architecture, etc. that I'd only seen in books. Back in my senior year of high school English, we studied Shakespeare and watched a documentary of the Globe Theater and it was mentioned that a new Globe foundation was being built. I thought it would be so great to see but I never believed I'd travel to London. 15 years later, I was standing in the pit at the new Globe...and it was just as wonderful as I'd imagined.

Many of mine apply to Italy and Spain.
Seeing works of art hanging or placed in the space for which they were made.
Trains and easy transportation everywhere.
Local cafes and restauranats rather than chains.
Out door cafes.
Evening walks with people meeting and greeting each other.
Waiters who don't say, "My name is Bambi and I'll be your server this evening."
Small towns and villages built over Roman ruins.
So many towns with lots of places to walk.
Really old architecture.
Eating by a river or canal.
Pretty umbrellas.
Children dressed like children rather than little movie stars or rap artists.
Little boys, with no uniforms and no adult organizing them, playing soccer in the streets Naples.
Lemons on the AC.

In no particular order:
-ALPS(partial to Austrian and Italian)
-Food (Nurenburg sausage, Torte in any Bakery, Italian anything!)
-Clean, Clean, Clean!
-Cars and roads (esp mountain passes!)
-snowfall in those ALPS!
-Christmas Markets in Germany
