I just finished reading The secret of Bees and Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling. If you are going to Italy you must READ Michelangelo and the Pope's ceiling. Our almost 17 year old read a book that has changed the life in our house. His Prep school made every kid read it. It is called "Fast Food Nation"He read it last summer.... It has also been ONE year since he has had fast food. His little sister has not touched it either. What an effect it had on our household!!!!!!

Some suggestions---here are some of my favorite books that have also been the most moving or thought provoking...

Only Twice I've Wished for Heaven by Dawn Turner Trice

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb (his other books are great as well!)

The Book of Ruth

Good in Bed

Have you read A Long Way Down yet? I really liked it, but I am a great fan of Nick Hornby. This book is unusual and remarkable.
