1. Durres, Bantry Bay, Cork, Ireland (to see my grandmother's birthplace - farm still in family)
2. Budapest (husband's family roots)
3. Croatia (just because)
4. Poland (other grandmother)
5. Ville de Beaupré in Jura (maiden name and I imagine we are descended from French nobility - yes, that's my father you can hear rolling over in his grave and laughing himself silly)

1. Dolomites - had to drive through them at 90mph to get to Munich - really wanted to stop

2. Sicily - seen most of Italy except - the food, dark culture, architecture

3. Paris - hate cities but have to give it a chance - have always resisted

4. La Rochelle - doable from the UK with my family AND my mut. Mut would love the beaches and the French muts.

5. Croatia - got to sail there as soon as my son trying to jump off every boat we get on.

Places I've never been but am dying to see:
Portugal
Ireland
Turkey
Great Britian
Greece

Places I want to revisit:
Paris
Venice
Salzburg
Florence
Bavaria

DH and I always keep a running list of our individual top five destinations. We try to go to Europe every 12 to 18 months and we take turns selecting the place to go. Keeping the top five list allows us to try for places that appear on both of our lists. Great question and so interesting to see where everyone wants to go.

Since 1986, I have gone to Europe once or twice a year, until 1998, when I actually lived and worked in Holland for 4 years. Last time I went to Europe was in 2004, 3 years ago....unusual for me! Hope to go back later this year.
Five of my favorite places I have been to (not necessarily in order, and not necessarily the top 5....depends on what I want to do):
1. Prague (went there many times when I lived in Europe)
2. Munich (also have been a number of times)
3. Malta
4. Zermatt, Switzerland (love mountains....Switzerland is one of my favorite countries)
5. Venice

Honorable Mentions:
Barcelona, Seville, London

Places I haven't been to but really would like to:
1. Greece, especially the islands
2. Croatia, especially Dubrovnik
3. Portugal
4. Normandy (D-Day beaches)
5. Bucharest

Many more!

Go, go go. Bantry Bay and that entire area of southwest Ireland is soooo pretty.
