What are the top 5 European places you want to visit?
It'll be interesting seeing everybody's different options!
Mine are:
The Julian Alps in Slovenia
Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria
Paris in France
Portofino in Italy
Luxembourg City in Luxembourg

We just came back from a trip which included a visit to St. Petersburg, a place we have always wanted to visit.
After having visited numerous palaces all over Europe we were totally blown away by the opulence and decoration in places like the Peterhof and the Hermitage which seem to make all the other "well-knowns" seem almost fifth-rate in comparison.

We lived for several years in Europe and traveled quite a lot in western Europe, and there are many places I would like to re-visit. The list is of places we have never seen.
We just learned that a friend will be a judge at the war crimes tribunal in Sarajevo for two years, hence the interest in Bosnia

I would love to go back to many of the places I have already visited, but if I had to choose five places I have yet to visit, they would be:
Istanbul and various parts of Turkey
the Dordogne region in France
Athens and the Peloponnesian peninsula
Portugal
Romania
Tracy

1. Tuscany and Florence (going later in the year)
2. Sicily
3. Tallinn
4. Cinque Terre
5. Vienna
Most of the places in the past Ive wanted to travel to I have done Im happy to say. Im sure the list will change next year as I cross em off the list!
