What about 100 Great Things To Do In London?

Love the Paris "100 Great Things To Do" thread. Care to start one for London? It's been so long since I've been there I'd love to be reminded before our trip in May.

It's The Royal Opera House, not "The Royal Opera" that makes it sound like some sordid affair starring royals and their affairs, er, so maybe it is the Royal opera.

m_kingdom-

Since when have you become my editor? What I meant was going to see the Royal Opera performance specifically. The Royal Opera House is also home for the Royal Ballet, which I don't fancy personally.

Just ignore M_Kingdom. What she truly knows about London can be written on the head of a pin. She is a phony.

Margie, my dear, I've lived in London all my life, What I don't know can be written on the back of a postage stamp.

I was thinking a jet plane somewhere far away, but this is a positive post about London so I felt no desire for negative smart alec comments.

I don't think there's enough room on the back of a postage stamp to write even half of what m_kingdom doesn't know about social graces and politeness -- although she/he feels no use for such nonsense.

Only a crass commoner would think of sordid affairs when someone says "Royal Opera".

I have only been to London once. There is so much to see and do there you should get loads of ideas. However, it is very touristy but take a ride on the London Eye. Long lines but it has really great views of the city.

Cheddar and pickle sandwiches on crusty rolls

Book stores

Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park...
and just strolling and sitting in the parks

Riding the Metro all over the city
