I'm so sorry, Feldie. For the second time in the past couple of weeks, I have to ask whether it's possible to develop dyslexia in your old age!
I obviously read it as "one can" instead of "can one".
Hope someone pops in with an answer!

Thank you for that information, ekscrunchy. We aren't going until August, so if I can't call until the day before, it's one less thing to obsess about right now!
We plan to go on Monday, so if we can't get the verger tour, we have London Walks as a fallback.

FWIW - we bought our Verger tickets the day before and had no problems. We were in the area and decided to do some "advance" planning. Maybe we were just lucky but we were also very flexible about the time.
Hope you have a great trip CAPH!

I just want to report that we took the 11am Verger's tour today and it is wonderful! I had forgotten to call yesterday to put our names on the list, so we showed up today at 9:30am opening time and there was no queue and no problem putting our names on the list for the 11am tour. The tour costs an extra 3 pounds each and takes about 90 minutes.
