We're Cruising from Spain!
We've been trying to get to Europe.
We had taken a cruise to the Bahamas in January, and my husband spent a fair amount of time in the casino and subsequently got a player offer, which is making this very, very cheap. The cruise part anyway.
We're scheduled to fly Aer Lingus from Philadelphia to Barcelona, connecting through Dublin. Then an 11 day on Carnival to Spain, Portugal, and Gibraltar. When we get back to Barcelona, we're staying overnight, then connecting back through Dublin with an overnight there.
It's going to be fun. Well maybe not the covid tests, but most of it.
We leave in a week, and we're chasing the last details.

So much paperwork...
It should definitely be worth it, but trying to keep track of what Spain, Portugal, and the cruise line want is kind of daunting. Ireland is actually very straightforward, and so is Gibraltar, but the cruise people keep adding stuff and I have to get a QR code for Spain, plus fill out a paper locator form. The Portuguese one is digital, but somewhat confusing.
I also need to book a Covid test at Dublin airport so we can get back into the US.
We also have to take a Covid test before we leave to make Carnival happy, and then they are going to test us again before we get on board. I suppose it makes a certain amount of sense to do it that way, but I do kind of feel like one should be sufficient.
Definitely looking forward to this though,
We did purchase internet this time, so I should be able to post while we're actually on the trip this time.

Glad you enjoyed the cruise. Nice to hear about Lisbon. One of my cousins went to Portugal a couple of years ago, fell in love with the country, came home, sold their house and moved there. They are very happy there.
