Uncle Art, I've spent a most enjoyable morning reading through your Paris experiences.

I've bought a few books set in Paris hoping to keep the feeling of being in Paris alive, but none of them have made me feel as involved in their story as your journal has.

You made me hear, see, smell and feel Paris again, and I thank you for sharing.

Maybe you should publish some of your journals as you have a wonderful writing style and a knack for storytelling.

Happy 81st Birthday!

You all made his day.
I took him on a belated 80th birthday trip to Italy in March. We are trying to start planning our next trip. Any encouragement to help him write about it and post his pictures is appreciated!

I just discovered this completely charming, laugh-out-loud, enlightening description. ("Trip report" just doesn't seem the right way to describe it.) I sure hope Art has written, or is writing, one for the recent Italy trip. I guess I'll go on over to the Italy forum and have a look.....

claire50 no such luck, I did top his report of England if you are interested. I want him to write about Italy so I can take credit with my friends for the story and the pictures.

Thanks for topping this. It was so much fun, I think it's one of the best trip reports I've read. I hope Uncle Art is still travelling and enjoying life from his unique and amusing viewpoint.
