weekend in Oslo

We are arriving at Torp airport near Oslo. Anyone landed here? How is the best way to get to main area of Oslo from here?

We (three 25yrs) will be in norway for 3 days. What should we see and do? I would like to do a mini boat cruise, see the main sites and experience the countryside. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also should we hire a car or rely on the public transport? Thanks

Hi
The best way to get to Oslo is the bus.(Torp Ekspressen) Goes from the airport to the city center in Oslo.
Info about Oslo: http://www.oslopro.no/index.php?L=e&S=2
If you like to see the country side you could rent a car and drive. There is a lot of nice towns to visit in the area.

Here are 4 sites in particular that I believe are must sees in Oslo:

1. Frogner Park (full of works by Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland; museum).

2. Bygdy peninsula west of city center: Viking Ship Museum, National Gallery, Munch Museum, and others dedicated to Norwegian explorers, history, folk art, etc.).

3. 14th-century Akershus castle and fortress down by the harbor.

4. Just on the outskirts of Oslo, the site of the 1952 Winter Olympics -- Holmenkollen(not sure of the spelling).

The Resistance Museum is on the grounds of Akershus Castle and there's no admission charge. It's definitely worth visiting if you're into military history!
