Benares. Great menu. Innovative. A Michelin star. Not that expensive if you use one of the online offers on Bookatable or Opentable. Failing that Brick Lane has a ton of cheaper eats and is fun in a kitsch sort of way - big screens up in some of the restaurants showing Bollywood films, cocktails with an indian twist (ie lots of lemongrass and ginger in evidence).
