Weather on Saturday in London

We'll be arriving on Saturday. Can any of you Londoners tell me what the weather is going to be like. The Weather Channel site shows rain for the next 10 days! Tell me it doesn't downpour all day long!

Weather in London [and across the country] was simply terrible yesterday overnight. Storms, hurricanes, tornados and floods overnight brought London and elsewhere virtually to a standstill due to trees falling on roads and train lines and roads/stations flooded. Assuming that this has been sorted by the weekend [and hopefully it will be virtually put right today Tuesday certainly surbaban trains etc seem to be running again this morning]Sometimes even in normal conditions it does rain and/or drizzle for hours at time however so bring an anorak or umbrella. Expect good days as well. Yesterday, for instance, amongst all the chaos the actual day in London was very bright and sunny if a bit windy !

I was in those British storms last weekend--80 mile an hour gusts along the Northern Ireland coast. But the weather is usually cloudy, drizzly, cool and changeable. Downpours unlikely; rain inevitable.

Beth - Sorry, but our weather forecast is not good for upcoming weekend. They're predicting more gale force winds and heavy rain and flooding. Dress warm and bring raincoats and umbrellas!!!! I was in London last weekend and the weather was awful. Still things to do in the bad weather, so don't despair. Have a great time no matter what!

Update - the weather forecast is for lots of rain. Frequently, when forecasting 5 days or so ahead, the forecast will not be accurate. But they usually get it right, the day before.

Bring an umbrella!
