Weather in Poland- Oct Last week
Hello Friends,
Im planning a trip to Poland in the last week of October for 9 days to Krakow, Gdansk and Warsaw...While the internet has weather forecasts...any first hand experiences of how the weather would be during that time and will the days ( daylight) be shorter?
We are travelling with our 4 year old.
Thanks

Of course the daylight will be shorter. The latitude of Gdańsk is 10 degrees further north than Montreal.

With luck you might experience Babie Lato, the Polish version of Indian Summer.

There are weather websites that can give you historical weather by month which would be more accurate than one person's experience. The amount of daylight gets shorter in autumn and winter in the entire Northern hemisphere. I like to use sunrisesunset.com to find specifics for a city. Try sunrisesunset.com/poland

Nitish, we were in Krakow and Warsaw in the beginning of May when they had an unprecedented heat wave. The week before we arrived Krakow had snow flurries and we came prepared with warm clothes, woolen socks and hat, etc. Only to find much higher temperatures than predicted, 90+, it was absolutely scorching.
Weather’s always tough to predict, more so these days. Suggest you keep monitoring the forecast, you’ll get a better idea closer to your dates. Bring layers to deal with varying temperatures, also a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Same for your four year old too.
And of course days will be shorter, they would probably have switched back from DST by the time you get there.
