Forgive me for seeming to pick on you, but after several months of reading Fodor's posts, I don't know what exactly people are looking for when they ask for weather predictions.
There is not a single month you can name when Paris is not liable to get rain. As you have no doubt noticed in many, many movies, Paris looks lovely in the rain.
I often think London gets unfairly slammed for its weather, because Paris has equally lousy weather.
Most people don't have a choice of which 5 days in their lifetime they will be in Paris. They have to seize the moment, when money and vacation time conincide. If you have plane tix for late September, it's as good a time as April, July or February.
Have a great trip.

If you go by statistics September is the 3rd rainiest month of the year in Paris. However, no matter what month you go you should always bring an umbrella to Paris. I actually prefer Paris when it is raining, but your mileage may vary

I usually travel in September/October so have been in Paris 6+ times in September.
On my very first trip I was with my daughter in Paris on September 25th and we both bought a light weight black quilted jacket with faux fur collar cause it was chilly, even by day.
Also, my DH and I were in Paris in mid-September and he had to purchase some shorts at a running store because it was in the 90+ degree range.
Most of the time I have found Paris to be very pleasant and comfortable at this time of the year.
But you can't perdict as you can see from my first two visits, but never did I have rain in Paris. I am fortunate.
At any rate, Paris is wonderful in all weather and you will find plenty to do in their wonderful museums, churches, restaurants, shopping stores, etc.

On any trip to europe - except southern spain and Italy in midsummer - you are likely to get some rain if you stay more than 4/5 days. Fall and spring are usually rainier.
But - in more than 70 trips to europe there have been only a couple of days when the rain was sufficient to affect our trip. One day in May in Rome it poured so much the sidewalks were running with water - so we did inside things instead. And we had to delay going up the Jungfrau one day in June.
Just be sure you have a sturdy folding umbrella and 2 pair of comfy waterproofed walking shoes and you will be fine unless you plan on a lot of camping or hiking. There are always plenty of fascinating things to do.
