Waah! Cold and rain...

I was all packed for my upcoming trip (July 8-17) to Switzerland and just saw the extended forecast for rain and cool temps...the entire time!

Zermatt is out, so is the Schilthorn. Is this normal weather for July?

Rainy day fun times in Lauterbrunnen?

To make you feel better, we've been having rain/thunderstorm/clouds/cold weather nonstop every day for the past three weeks here in Prague.

As I have stated on numerous occasions, summer weather in Europe can be very "iffy". We've always found the best weather to be in May or September.

Of course, our next trip this September could be a complete washout!!

No one can guarantee the weather anywhere at anytime. You always need a Plan B for bad weather days.

Ideas for the Alps during the rain? I've already purchased Swiss rail passes.

I've been in Switzerland (on Lac Leman) several times in July. I've seen everything from a heat wave (90+F) to a hail storm.
